As a Cloud Architect/Engineer you will be responsible for planning, maintaining and managing our cloud infrastructure as well as implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

This includes but is not limited to security, networking, system administration, backup policies, traffic management and cost management. You will interact with all members of staff to understand business needs so that we can provide the infrastructure needed to support that.

Your contribution to something big

  • Active involvement in the planning, implementation and testing of cloud infrastructure and DevOps systems/pipelines
  • Contributing with strong networking, security and system administration experience
  • Building the infrastructure to support high performance multi-tenant applications using cutting edge technologies
  • Collaborate with the already existing agile scrum team to design and implement full stack technical solutions
  • Identify, test & implement the latest and most appropriate technologies for the task at hand
  • Implement industry standard best practices such as automated testing, continuous integration, continuous delivery, automated deployments, and infrastructure as code
  • Support the success and development of others in the team
  • Carrying out other ad hoc duties as required

Our ideal teammate has experience with/knowledge in

  • Microsoft Azure Cloud, SQL, Cloud Storage, Windows, Linux
  • Prior commercial experience in designing and operating scalable secure cloud systems, specifically on Azure
  • PowerShell and bash scripting
  • Experience in the configuration, management, patching, backing-up and troubleshooting of Azure resources, including monitoring of servers and services
  • Expertise in infrastructure as a service and operations technologies such as Terraform, Serverless, Azure Monitor, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Prometheus, Graphana, ELK stack
  • Experience in working with continuous integrations platforms and building CI/CD pipelines
  • Advanced understanding of directory services (AD and LDAP) and networking (NSGs, firewalls, VNETs, PNs, gateways, routing, VLAN)

You will get brownie points for

  • Cloud Solution Architect certification (Azure/AWS/GCP), Linux (preferably) and/or Windows sysadmin certification
  • Programming experience and/or interest in Go, Python, Java
  • Basic understanding of APIs and Rest/gRPC-based applications, event-driven communication, JIRA, Confluence, Office 365
  • An IT related degree qualification
  • An understanding of premium finance is an advantage
